First Mogusa 艾 Clay and E-Shino

Shino was a Favorite glaze of mine in Minnesota. I have made many tests, and after about 5 years of test have come up with something I like.

The clay is have Mogusa shino clay and Half Mashiko Nami. Iron brush unglaze decoration.

At Tokiichi.

Chawan: Hakame and Nami Jiro Glaze.
A couple bought these two bowls st Tokiich for his parent's 50th anniversery.

Chawan: Faceted, inlayed, with high alumina shino glaze.

Boxes came today. Signed them and will send them with the print that was also purchase as a 50th anniversery gift. It is the year of the dog and Jean's print was of an Inu Hariko Dog.

Squared Osara. Minnesota type Shino, Ricestraw markings.

Tokuri. Shigaraki clay, fired on shells on its side. Rice straw marks. Zogan inlay.
